I have 29 years of experience leading companies in efficiently building profitable consumer brands. I have held executive leadership positions in general management, marketing, strategic planning, & business development.
I assist Owners, Boards and CEOs of small to mid-size consumer businesses with customer-centric omni-channel brand strategies focused on differentiated planning of online and offline tactics. Past clients included See’s Candies and Fechheimer, both wholly owned
subsidiaries of Berkshire Hathaway. I have also led strategy projects for Bath Fitter, Hallmark, Peruvian Connection & Baldwin.
Formerly, I was a Managing Director and Operating Partner at Z Capital Partners. There I was CEO for Famous Brands International, the owner of Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY. I also developed innovative demand growth plans for Modere and The Carillon Hotel & Spa. I served on the Board of Directors for Famous Brands and Modere.
I have extensive expertise in discretionary retail and consumer markets, particularly fine jewelry, apparel, accessories, gifting, beauty and specialty food companies.
I was Senior Vice President, Marketing and Customer Satisfaction for Helzberg Diamonds, (North Kansas City, MO – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway) where I was responsible for leading the entire marketing function of this 240 store chain of specialty jewelry stores for over five years. I was a member of the Corporate Executive Board.
I previously served as SVP, Marketing for Danskin, VP of Business Development for Liz Claiborne, VP of Marketing for Aris Isotoner, and Director of Business Development for Coach, all in New York. I am a member of the Board of Directors at Lifespace Communities, West Des Moines, IA.
I have a MBA from The Harvard Business School and a BS in Finance from Penn State.
