Joyce thrives on helping mid-market companies turn their vulnerabilities into market leading opportunities for growth. In addition to A&R Strategic Partners, Joyce currently serves as an Operating Partner for Star Mountain Capital. A graduate of Penn State University, Joyce would go on to receive her MBA from Harvard Business School and then spend twenty years in leadership roles across general management, operations, marketing and business development at Coach, Champion, Playtex, Liz Claiborne, Danskin, and Helzberg Diamonds.
Joyce has previously served as CEO for Famous Brands International, the managing organization for Mrs. Fields and TCBY.
Joyce is dedicated to helping clients implement transformational strategies and improve their processes and competitive positioning to achieve growth or acquisition goals.
Joyce has also served as an Independent Director in multiple private company board roles over the past eleven years for large family businesses, an ESOP company and several private equity owned portfolio companies. Her board service includes Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Risk Committee assignments. She is consistently focused on the board’s role in Enterprise Risk Management for privately held business.
Joyce’s current board directorships include Corkcicle, Lifespace Communities, and Woodward Communications. Previously she served on the board of directors for Brokers International, Famous Brands, Great Plains Communications, and Modere.
Mark is a senior executive that brings a wealth of finance and operations experience from leading technology and robotics companies. He advises on business transformation, finding & maximizing profitability, growth strategy, fundraising at all stages, acquisitions and exits.
With over 34 years of experience growing startup and mid-market companies, Mark excels at assessing businesses for opportunities and gaps, identifying opportunities for partnership, and collaboratively developing strategies for transformational processes and practices to drive revenue growth. He is especially comfortable helping companies balance competing business interests and requirements to achieve goals within resource constraints.
Mark’s style is defined by building inclusive relationships with team members to achieve superior team performance, cultivating the appropriate talent aligned to strategy and with key performance motivators, and cultivating trusting partnerships with both interval and external stakeholders. For him, teambuilding and talent management – placing the right people in the right roles to drive the right objectives to the right timelines, is the key to success for many companies.
